How Often Should You Use an LED Face Mask? A Simple Weekly Routine

GlowGirls Mini Glow LED Mask

Short answer: use your LED face mask 3 to 5 times a week for about 10 minutes per session, on clean, dry skin, then follow with serum and moisturizer. Consistency matters more than frequency.

How long is each session?

About 10 minutes. Most GlowGirls masks run on an automatic timer and switch themselves off, so you can relax without watching the clock.

A simple weekly routine

Day Routine
Monday Cleanse, 10-minute LED session, moisturize
Tuesday Rest day. Cleanse and moisturize
Wednesday Gentle scrub, 10-minute LED session, moisturize
Thursday Rest day
Friday Cleanse, 10-minute LED session, face oil
Weekend One more session if you like, plus a lip scrub and overnight lip mask

Step by step

  1. Cleanse. Start with clean skin. Our Turmeric Kojic Acid Glow Soap works for face and body.
  2. Exfoliate 2 to 3 times a week. A gentle scrub like the Vitamin C Brightening Face Scrub clears dull skin before your session. Pat skin completely dry.
  3. Glow. Put on your mask, close your eyes and choose a light mode for about 10 minutes.
  4. Moisturize. Follow with the Turmeric Hydrating Face Cream or a few drops of Turmeric Radiance Face Oil.

Should I put products on before using the mask?

No. Use the mask on clean, dry skin. Products underneath can stop the light reaching your skin, so apply serum and moisturizer afterwards.

Can I use it every day?

Many people settle into 3 to 5 sessions a week because it is easy to keep up. Pick a rhythm that fits your life and stick with it.

Who should check with a doctor first?

If you are pregnant, have a history of seizures triggered by light, take photosensitizing medication, have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, or have a skin condition being treated by a professional, speak to your doctor or dermatologist before use.
